What are online focus groups and paid studies?

They are conversations or structured sessions where researchers learn from real people. Formats include video discussions, one-to-one interviews, in-person sessions, diaries and product tests. Compensation may be cash, gift cards or another incentive set by the provider.

How is this different from quick online surveys?

Many listings require a scheduled session, webcam, facility visit or multi-day activity. There are fewer places and more screening, but payouts are often higher when you fit the requested audience.

What is Scoutela?

Scoutela is a discovery and matching service. We aggregate and normalize study opportunities so members can search and compare them. Applications are normally completed on the original provider website.

Is Scoutela affiliated with listed studies or brands?

No, unless a listing expressly says otherwise. Providers control screening, scheduling, incentives and participation decisions. Always review the official listing before sharing information.

Why is membership required to apply?

Free visitors can explore the catalog. Plus and Pro support curation, matching, alerts and tracked access to signup details. Membership never guarantees study selection.

Will I qualify for every study?

No—and that is normal. Researchers need particular combinations of age, location, occupation, product use and other characteristics. Keep your profile accurate and apply consistently.

How and when do I get paid?

The study provider sets the amount, method and timing. Check the official listing and confirmation email. Contact that provider about a missing incentive or schedule issue.

Is paid research legitimate?

Paid market research is an established industry, but scams can exist. Scoutela reviews sources and attributes every listing; still verify the provider and never pay a fee to participate in a study.

How can I improve my chances?

Complete your profile, apply early, answer screeners honestly, check spam folders, track deadlines and time zones, and apply to several strong matches instead of waiting for one perfect listing.

Who do I contact for help?

Contact the research provider about a particular study, payment or schedule. Contact support@scoutela.world about your Scoutela account, subscription, referral or the platform.
