Focus groups are guided conversations, usually with several participants. Researchers use them to understand reactions, language and experiences; there are rarely right answers.

Confirm the date, format, expected duration, consent process and advertised incentive. Let the provider know early if you cannot attend.

Speak from real experience and respect other participants. Follow the provider’s instructions on confidential material.
